Lihue

Community and administrative headquarters of Kauai County, southeastern Kauai Island, Hawaii; population (1990) 5,500. Lying just north of deepwater Nawiliwili Harbor, it is the commercial and cultural centre of the island. Sugar cane cultivation and processing are important.

Kauai Lagoons LLC is breathing new life into the 520-acre Kauai Lagoons project in Lihue with plans for a master-planned resort with a destination spa, dining and about 750 residences, some of which are likely to be bookable by retailers for their clients.
The island of Kauai, including the towns of Eleele, Hanalei, Hanapepe, Kapaa, Koloa, Lihue, Princeville, and Waimea.
The men were flown to Lihue Airport, where an ambulance transported them to Wilcox Memorial Hospital.
