Lima, Luis (1948- )

Argentine tenor. He made his debut in Lisbon in 1974 as Turiddu. His other roles have included Edgardo (La Scala, Milan, 1977 and the Vienna Staatsoper, 1981); Pinkerton (Verona Arena, 1978); Alfredo (Metropolitan Opera House, New York, 1978); Nemorino and Don Carlos (Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, London, 1985); Don José(Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, 1991); Don Carlos (San Francisco, 1992); and Cilea's Maurizio (Metropolitan Opera House, New York, 1994).
