Lima Declaration

    0.04 sec.

Lima Declaration

Agreement sponsored by US President Franklin D Roosevelt at the Pan-American Conference December 1938 which held that a threat to the peace, security, or territory of any of the American republics would be a source of concern to all the republics. It was designed primarily to safeguard the American continent from the spread of fascism from Europe and to provide the USA and other states with a general mandate for intervention if necessary.
