Lincoln Park

Municipal park and zoo on the North Side of Chicago, Illinois, along Lake Michigan. Lincoln Park is also the name of the residential neighbourhood immediately to the west of the park.

Lincoln Park

City in southeast Michigan, on the Ecorse River, 14 km/9 mi southwest of Detroit; population (1990) 41,800. It is a commuter suburb of Detroit, with some small machine shops.

On this site, then called Council Point, American Indians held a conference (April 1763) at which the Ottawa chief Pontiac laid plans to take Detroit from the British, thus starting ‘Pontiac's War’.

Lincoln Park

Town in northern New Jersey, 11 km/7 mi west of Paterson, on the Pompton River; population (1990) 11,000. Once a popular summer resort, it is now mainly residential, with some light industry.

The long-time home to Downriver's community newspapers has been at the center of a preservation versus demolition debate in Lincoln Park for much of this year.
Lincoln Park With one of the city's longest stretches of traffic-free biking and designated bike lanes along many of the main streets, it's no wonder Lincoln Park is a favorite Chicago neighborhood among avid cyclists and recreational bike riders alike.
