Linlithgow, John Adrian Louis Hope, 1st Marquess Linlithgow (1860–1908)

British administrator, son of the 6th earl of Hopetoun, first governor general of Australia 1900–02. Earl 1873, Marquess 1902.

His son Victor Alexander John Hope (1887–1952) was viceroy and governor general of India 1936–43; Marquess 1908.
