Linton

Small town in Cambridgeshire, England, on the River Granta, 10 km/6 mi southeast of Cambridge; population (2001) 4,600. The parish church is of 12th-century origin. Barham Hall stands on the site of a priory which was founded about 1292 by Crutched Friars (a religious order). Linton College is a village college, and a centre for further education and community activities.
