Lipiński, Karol Józef (1790-1861)

Polish violinist and composer. He travelled widely and became leader of the court orchestra at Dresden in 1839. He edited a collection of Polish and Ruthenian folksongs with the poet Zalewski. Schumann's Carnaval was dedicated to him.
