Littlehampton

Seaside resort in West Sussex, southeast England, at the mouth of the River Arun, 16 km/10 mi southeast of Chichester; population (2001) 25,600. Industries include light engineering, food production, electronics, commercial horticulture, and the manufacture of Formula 1 racing car bodies. It is the headquarters of Body Shop, an international cosmetics firm with an explicit ethical trading and environmental policy founded by Anita Roddick in 1976.
