Livermore Valley

Valley in California, USA, site of the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. The institution is operated by the University of California on behalf of the US Department of Energy. It shares with Los Alamos Laboratory, New Mexico, all US military research into nuclear warheads and atomic explosives. It also conducts research into nuclear fusion, using high-intensity lasers.
