Town in Conwy county borough, north Wales, 20 km/12 mi south of Conwy; population (2001) 3,000. It has a fine bridge spanning the River Conwy.

Llywelyn ein Llyw Olaf, the last prince of Wales, made Llanrwst an independent state in 1276 and gave the town its own flag and coat of arms.
