loam

Type of fertile soil, a mixture of sand, silt, clay, and organic material. It is porous, which allows for good air circulation and retention of moisture.

A heavy loam soil works well but anything that's not welldrained may cause problems.
The soil in which they are planted has to be very rich in silt and can be loam soil or clay loam soil.
It's a very sandy loam soil, so that's the great part.
