Long Eaton

Town in Derbyshire, England, midway between Derby and Nottingham in the Trent valley; population (2001) 46,500. Its main industry is the manufacture of fabrics, such as lace, braid, upholstery, elastic web, and corsetry. Other industries include the manufacture of metal tubing, stainless-steel sinks, spring seating, piano actions, and pencils.

COVENTRY CITY Ladies booked their place in the second round of the FA Cup courtesy of a convincing 2-0 win away to Long Eaton United Ladies.
They drew 3-3 with Ireland but lost to the two top teams, Draycott and Long Eaton (5-1) and Astor of Devon (4-2).
