Long Lance

Japanese naval torpedo of World War II; the most powerful torpedo of the time, it was responsible for many Japanese naval successes.

It had a 610 mm/24 in diameter and a warhead twice the size of any comparable torpedo. Powered by an enriched oxygen motor, its range of 40 km/25 mi and speed of 50 knots outperformed any other torpedo in the world.
