long jumpField event in athletics in which competitors sprint and jump as far as possible into a sandpit from a takeoff board. Sacramento closed to 90-87 off a pair of baskets early in the fourth, but Sasha Vujacic answered with a long jumper to keep the Lakers in front. His posture should be similar to that of a good long jumper - leaning ever so slightly back and staying as tall as possible at all times. Nick Young faked to the basket, took a step back and freed himself to sink a long jumper with the shot clock winding down early in the first half. |
