Longchamp

Pleasure resort and racecourse in Paris, France, on the southwest side of the Bois de Boulogne. It is on the site of a former nunnery founded in 1260, suppressed in 1790. Many horse races in France are run here, including the most prestigious open-age-group race in Europe, the Prix de L'Arc de Triomphe, which attracts a top-quality field every October.
