Longridge

Town in Lancashire, England, 10 km/6 mi northeast of Preston; population (2001) 7,500. Although primarily a dormitory town serving Preston, Longridge produces dairy goods and has some light industry. The town was formerly dependent on stone quarrying and textiles.
