Longton

Town that makes up part of Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England; population (2001) 12,500. It is a large producer of pottery, the manufacture of bone china being concentrated here.

The Gladstone Pottery in Longton is a Victorian pottery with traditional bottle kilns. It has been preserved in full working order, and serves as an educational museum.
