Lorelei

In Germanic folklore, a river nymph of the Rhine who lures sailors onto the rock where she sits combing her hair. She features in several poems, including ‘Die Lorelei’ by the German Romantic writer Heinrich Heine. The Lurlei rock south of Koblenz is 130 m/430 ft high.
