Lorenzo's oil

In medicine, a liquid containing glycerol trioleate oil and glycerol trierucate oil. It is used in the treatment of a muscle disease known as adrenoleukodystrophy.

Also known as Lorenzo's Oil disease, this debilitating neurological disorder affects Graham's 20-year-old son Simon.
She has, in the last two years, played no fewer than three martyr-like mothers (in Lorenzo's Oil, Little Women, and Safe Passage) and one over-the-hill, recovering alcoholic mother-substitute (in The Client).
But one of the thrilling things about Lorenzo's Oil is the way its superb script (by Miller and Nicholas Enright) doesn't confine itself to illustrating one theme but allows many connected themes to be developed in the course of the story.
