Lorsch, Jay W(illiam) (1932– )

US human relations educator. Known for his application of behavioural science to organizations, he wrote many books on organizational behaviour and development, including Understanding Management (1978) and Handbook of Organizational Behavior (1987). Lorsch was born in St Joseph, Missouri. He studied at Harvard University, where he later joined the business school faculty in 1965.
