Lowell, Amy Lawrence (1874–1925)US poet. She began her career by publishing the conventional A Dome of Many-Colored Glass (1912) but eventually succeeded Ezra Pound as leader of the Imagists (see Imagism). Her works, in free verse, include Sword Blades and Poppy Seed (1916).
