Lowey, Susan (1933– )

Austrian-born biochemist and physical chemist. She made significant contributions to the study of the physical chemistry of muscle proteins. Lowery was born in Vienna, Austria. She performed research at Harvard University (1957–59), then worked at the Children's Cancer Research Foundation in Boston, Massachusetts (1959–72), before moving on to join the faculty at Brandeis University in 1972.
