Lund, Daryl B (1941– )

US food scientist and academic. He gained his PhD from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and began teaching there in 1968. In 1984 he chaired the university's food science department. He moved to Rutgers University in 1988, where he again chaired the food science department for two years. In 1991 he was named Executive Dean of Agriculture and Natural Resources and Dean of Cook College (part of Rutgers State University in New Jersey). He wrote many scientific papers on food engineering, including publications on thermal and aseptic processing of food. Lund was born in San Bernadino, California.
