Lunéville

French town in the département of Meurthe-et-Moselle, 30 km/19 mi southeast of Nancy, on the River Meurthe; population (1990) 25,400. Textiles, pottery, and railway carriages are made. The château of the dukes of Lorraine is now a museum.

In the Revolutionary Wars, the Peace of Lunéville was signed here between France and Austria in 1801.
