Lyndhurst

Village in Hampshire, England, at the centre of the New Forest, 13 km/8 mi southwest of Southampton; population (2001) 3,000. The Queen's House, now an office of the Forestry Commission, is where the Verderer's Court (an ancient body that looks after the well-being of open forest land) is held.

Lyndhurst

Township in northeastern New Jersey, 5 km/3 mi southeast of Passaic; population (1990 est) 18,300. Primarily a residential suburb, it is also an office and manufacturing centre whose products include metal goods, machinery, clothing, textiles, and processed foods.

Lyndhurst is also the site of the Environmental Education Center, an urban wetlands facility, and a popular medieval-style tournament.

City in northeastern Ohio, 18 km/11 mi east of Cleveland; population (1990 est) 16,000. It is a residential suburb.
