Lynn, Vera (1917- )

English singer. Known during World War II as the ‘Forces' Sweetheart’, she became famous with such songs as ‘We'll Meet Again’, ‘White Cliffs of Dover’, and in 1952 ‘Auf Wiederseh'n, Sweetheart’. She was made a DBE in 1975.

She also made three films: We'll Meet Again (1942), Rhythm Serenade (1943), and One Exciting Night (1944).
