Lysippus (or Lysippos) (lived 4th century BC)Greek sculptor. He made a series of portraits of Alexander the Great (Roman copies survive, including examples in the British Museum and the Louvre) and also sculpted the Apoxyomenos, an athlete (copy in the Vatican), and a colossal Hercules (lost).
