MPC

Standard defining the minimum specification for developing and running CD-ROM software. It has been rendered largely obsolete by the fact that most of today's PCs include multimedia features as a matter of course. The current MPC specification, MPC III, requires at least 8 MB of RAM, a 75MHz Pentium processor, a VGA monitor, and a quad-speed CD-ROM disk drive.

In line with this recovery and with the stated interest in positioning itself for global competition, MPCS states further that, "the textile industry is today much leaner than before and in 1994 already started embarking on massive Capex programs, both in terms of a modernization drive (badly needed), as well as actual expansions.
