Ma Mère l'Oye

Suite by Ravel, written for piano duet in 1908 and published in 1910, scored for orchestra and produced as a ballet. It was performed at the Paris, Opéra on 11 March 1915 with scenary by Louis Laloy and choreography by L Staats. The movements are based on tales by Perrault: 1. Pavan of the Sleeping Beauty; 2. Hop-o'-my-Thumb; 3. Little Ugly, Empress of the Pagodas; 4. Colloquy between the Beauty and the Beast; 5. The Fairy Garden.
