Macduff

Port, seaside resort, and former burgh in Aberdeenshire unitary authority, Scotland, 63 km/39 mi north of Aberdeen; population (2001) 3,800. Maritime-related occupations include white fishing and boat building, and whisky distilling makes a valuable contribution to the town's economy. Formerly known as Doune, it was a famous spa town during the 19th century.
