Maddaloni

Town in Campania region, southern Italy, 25 km/15 mi northeast of Naples; population (1991) 37,100. Nearby is a 17th-century aqueduct (Ponti della Valle), built to carry water to the cascades in the gardens at Caserta. The town supposedly occupies the site of ancient Suessula.
