Magalhǎes, Filippe de (c. 1571–1652)

Portuguese composer. He studied with Manuel Mendes (1547–1605) at Evora. He was maestro de capilla of the Misericordia at Lisbon and from 1614 of the royal chapel there under the Spanish king Philip III.
