Maksymiuk, Jerzy (1936- )

Polish conductor and composer. After working with the Polish Radio Orchestra he founded the Polish Chamber Orchestra in 1972. He was principal conductor with the BBC Scottish Orchestra 1983-93. A ballet, Capriccio, and a string trio are among his compositions.
