Malden
| City in Middlesex County, eastern Massachusetts; population (2000 est) 56,300. Malden lies on the Malden River (a branch of the Mystic River), 8 km/5 mi north of Boston, of which it is commercial and residential suburb. Its manufacturing industries produce footwear, electronic components, metal cans, paints, drugs, and clothing. |
