Manfredini, Francesco Onofrio (1684–1762)

Italian composer. His 43 published instrumental works including a set of 12 ‘Concertini’, chamber sonatas (1704), 12 Sinfonie da chiesa (1709), and six sonatas were published in London in 1764.

He studied with Torelli and Perti in Bologna and held appointments in Ferrara and Monaco before returning to Pistoia by 1727, as maestro di cappella at St Philip's Cathedral. Four oratorios date from his return to Pistoia.
