Mangalore

Industrial port at the mouth of the Netravati River in Karnataka, India; population (2001) 398,700. Industries include textiles, timber, and food-processing. The port handles 75% of India's coffee exports and most of its cashew nuts, as well as pepper, tea, and roofing tiles.
