Manilius, Gaius (lived 1st century BC)

Roman magistrate. As tribune of the plebs 66 BC, he proposed the Lex Manilia which conferred on Pompey supreme command in the third war against Mithridates VI, King of Pontus.

The Lex Manilia is the subject of Cicero's speech Pro lege Manilia.
