Manipuri
| One of the four main Indian dance styles (others are Bharat Natyam, Kathak, and Kathakali). Originating in the northeast of India, it has its roots in folklore sources. Danced with a light, lyrical grace and uncomplicated technique by many dancers, its dramas are supported by dialogue and song. |
