aqua Tofana

Liquid poison invented by a woman named Tofana in the 17th century. It was tasteless, colourless, and very deadly, even in small quantities. It was sold in Rome and Naples by her daughter. The ingredients have never been ascertained, but it is supposed to have been composed largely of arsenic and lead.
