Mannlicher rifle

Austrian rifle, standard arm of the Austro-Hungarian, Romanian, Bulgarian, Greek, and Balkan armies in World War I. The Austro-Hungarian weapon was an 8-mm calibre weapon and used an unusual ‘straight-pull’ bolt mechanism and a five-round clip-fed magazine. Carbine versions were also produced for artillery, engineers, and cavalry.
