Manorhamilton

Town in County Leitrim, Republic of Ireland; population (2002) 1,400. It is situated in the heart of the limestone mountains north of Lough Allen, 48 km/30 mi north of Carrick-on-Shannon. There is a ruined baronial mansion here built by Frederick Hamilton in 1638. Cashel Bir, on the slopes of Benbo, is a well-preserved megalithic site.
