Achard, Marcel (1899–1974)

French dramatist. His first success was Voulez-vous jouer avec moi? 1923, followed by such popular plays as La Vie est belle 1928, Jean de la lune 1929, Auprès de ma blonde 1946, and Patate 1957. His work has been adapted for the screen and he himself wrote several film scenarios.
