Maria di Rudenz

Opera by Donizetti (libretto by S Cammarano), produced at the Teatro La Fenice, Venice, on 30 January 1838. Maria elopes with Corrado, but he prefers her heiress sister, Matilde. Maria stabs Matilde and, unable to move Corrado, dies of wounds previously inflicted by him.
