Market Harborough

Market town in south Leicestershire, England, 25 km/15 mi southeast of Leicester, in the rich grasslands of the River Welland; population (2001) 20,000. The town has light industry and manufactures corsetry, food products, rubber goods, and brushes. Its Gothic parish church has a fine spire, and stands next to the grammar school which was founded in 1614.
