marketing campaign

Strategy adopted by a business organization to promote a product or range of products over a period of time. Some products will be supported by a long-term marketing campaign. Others, such as new products just launched, will need to be supported by an intensive marketing campaign. The campaign will use a mixture of marketing techniques such as money-back offers, BOGOF (buy one get one free), free samples, advertising, and leafleting. A large firm will use an advertising agency to coordinate the campaign.
