Martin, Dean (1917-1995)

US singer and actor. He met US comedian Jerry Lewis in 1946; they became a top comedy-singing nightclub attraction and went on to make several films together 1949-56, the first of which was My Friend Irma. After the duo broke up, Martin went on to have his own television show 1965-73. His many hit records include ‘That's Amore’ (1953), ‘Memories Are Made of This’ (1955), and ‘Everybody Loves Somebody’ (1964).
