Massey, Anna (1937- )

English character actor of the stage and screen. Massey broke into the film industry in the 1960s, featuring, in one of her best-known film roles, as the serial killer's inquisitive neighbour in director Michael Powell's controversial psychological study of insanity Peeping Tom (1960). Essentially a dramatic player, she also appeared in the equally disturbing Bunny Lake is Missing (1965) and Frenzy (1972). She has worked widely in television, including Mansfield Park (1983), A Tale of Two Cities, and A Respectable Trade (1998).

Her father was actor Raymond Massey (1896-1983) and her brother was actor Daniel Massey (1933-1998).
