Massine, Léonide (1895-1979)

Russian choreographer and dancer with the Ballets Russes. He was a creator of comedy in ballet and also symphonic ballet using concert music. His works include the first cubist-inspired ballet, Parade (1917), La Boutique fantasque (1919), and The Three-Cornered Hat (1919).
