Matanzima, Kaiser (1915-2003)

South African politician. He was chief minister of the Transkei, which became independent in 1976. He believed in separate black development, and has advocated a confederation of black states to form a single supra-national independent state in South Africa.

He graduated from Fort Hare University, where he actively engaged in youth politics in the African National Congress.
