Matteotti, Giacomo (1885–1924)

Italian socialist politician. After Mussolini gained power in 1922, Matteotti was an outspoken opponent of the Fascist regime. He was, consequently, murdered in June 1924.

He was born in Fratta Polesine, Rovigo.
